Christmas shopping is not always fun, but luckily some stores like Bergdorf Goodman make it worth our while! The luxury retailer’s windows are themed “Carnival of the Animals” and feature exotic animals and feathery friends!
Every year we look forward to the magical displays that some big stores create for the holidays and this year we weren’t disappointed. Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor always impress, but this year we especially loved Bergdorf Goodman’s creations. There was an ostrich covered sheep, a stuffed peacock, and bird fantasy scenes! Check out some more pictures below!
I love embellishing presents with feathers – something about it just makes your gift stand out with a little pizzaz!
Here we have Alton On The Spot getting a little extra creative with feather gift wrap ideas to make anyone’s holiday special! Currently featured at our New York Showroom ~ The Feather Place!
If you live in NYC you know about the free Metro newspaper, so imagine how excited we were to see one of our talented friends featured in today’s issue!
Alton DuLaney, gift wrapper extraordinaire and all-around creative mind, shows viewers his latest works inspired by the Alexander McQueen show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He uses butterflies and our black hackle pads to turn a boring box into a glam gift!
Alton also makes amazing gifts using a variety of our feathers, like stripped hackle fringe, peacock eyes, and ostrich! Check out his video below to learn from the pro on how use ribbon, tie a bow, add fun with feathers and more!
New York City is a spectacular place to be during the holidays, from the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting to the shopping to the (hopefully not too much) snow! We here at The Feather Place NYC are getting into the spirit with, you guessed it, feathers! Our showroom mannequin is decked out in Christmas attire and our feather wreaths, trees and more are giving off that warm fuzzy feeling.
