Vogue Japan has done us the honor of using feathers from The Feather Place NYC in this year’s March issue! The magazine spread, titled “The Enchanting Promise”, was photographed by Mark Segal and styled by the wonderful Giovanna Battaglia. Our Ostrich Plumes were featured in White ( below), our color Pink Orient (above) and our Ostrich Spad was featured above in our Basil color. These show-stopping feathers were made into whimsical hairpieces and hats that we are in love with! Check out our Lady Amhearst Zebra Pheasant Tails below that add a fierce animal element into this mysterious photograph.

Brrrr it sure is cold outside! Winter in NYC is no fun, and we hear that the West Coast is having it’s own turn at below freezing temperatures so we wanted to share with you some ideas for keeping warm this season!
We love that feathers can be both glamorous AND practical, and our feather garments and boas can keep you stylish in the snow! Our feather jackets above are a sure fire way to keep warm, or you can look stylish in our marabou or ostrich shawls shown below. We LOVE that these can be worn over a jacket or as a cover up for a chic look. Don’t forget that feather boas are another great way to stay snuggly! We recommend ostrich and marabou boas which both come in a large variety of colors and styles.
Check out our inspiration board below for some DIY ideas if you’re feeling creative! You can get all your feather needs in either our NYC or LA showrooms, or simply by going to featherplace.com!
We can’t believe that designers already showed their Pre Fall 2013 collections but we couldn’t be happier after seeing feathers fly down the runway! Feathers can add a romantic flair to any piece of clothing, and these designers show us how it’s done.
The two looks above by Naeem Khan get dressed up with Ostrich feather hems and sleeves to add some glam. The look (below left) by Prabal Gurung has an edgier vibe by adding black and white stenciled Ostrich to the mix. We couldn’t resist this romantic look from Chanel (below right) which makes us think of some historical costumes, but of course with feathers! Finally you can see two stunning dresses designed by Jason Wu (left) and Oscar de la Renta (right) with black ostrich feathers that would be perfect for a night out on the town!
You can replicate these looks with a little imagination and of course, adding feathers from our NYC or LA showrooms or our website at featherplace.com! We recommend using Ostrich fringe or an Ostrich boa for a simple way to add some pop to your look!
