For the DIY makeup artist, here are some tips that we find useful!
- Start with your base makeup already done and touch up later.
- The Feather Place is a great source for unique packaged feathers and plumage.
- Prep your feathers by shaping and cutting away any “fluff” that might get in the way.
- Use body safe adhesives like Ben Nye Glitter Glue , Jobst’s “It Stays” adhesive or Mehron Ad Gem Adhesive.
- Color coordinate your Eye Shadow, Mascara and Eyeliner with your feathers.
- Add extra drama with glitter and rhinestones.
- Save time with several of ready made styles available online.

We just found the BEST Queen Ravenna Costume Inspiration and are so excited to share it with you all! We first came across the Melting Mirror Cosplay and Costume site when we were researching costume inspirations for this Halloween season.
Using hundreds of Loose and Strung Black Rooster Coque Tails and taking notes from famed costume designer Colleen Atwood, Melting Mirror gives an in depth play by play on her inspirations and how she made her cosplay costume.
